Annual General Meeting
The Australian Society of Rheology's Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday, 22 July 2014 at 19:30. This coincides with the upcoming Pacific Rim Conference on Rheology in Melbourne, with the dinner following on from the poster session on the Tuesday evening.

The official AGM proceedings will be a short component of the evening, including annual reports from the out-going President Mark Coghill and the Treasurer Russell Varley, followed by council elections.
Elections
Council is seeking nominations for council membership. Council membership is limited to 12 people. Nominations are open for all positions (except Immediate Past President). The positions include President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and Webmaster. Please note that members who have served on council for 4 years and have not held an office bearer position are not eligible for re-election for a fifth consecutive year. We are seeking both new nominations and expressions of interest from existing council members. In particular, we are looking for PhD students and Industry members to sit on the council. Nominations must be seconded by one other person (e-mail will do). The deadline for receiving nominations is one week before the AGM, i.e. Tuesday, 15 July 2014. Nominations will then be circulated to members to allow members who cannot attend the AGM to vote for council members by proxy.
Membership
Note that the AGM is an excellent opportunity to pay your annual society subscriptions, so bring your money with you and you can sleep easy for the next 12 months.
